“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” (Carl Jung)
“I love this quote as it describes what can be achieved by engaging in the process psychological therapy. As an intelligent species, humans constantly think and analyse everything around us. We can however get lost in our thoughts and “get stuck inside our heads”. This is important to recognise as our perception usually becomes our reality.
There are so many different reasons why people seek psychological therapy but some of the main advantages I believe are the focus on becoming grounded, developing the ability to look at one’s problems from a distance (a bird’s eye view) and becoming clear about one’s values and purpose. I feel really privileged to do this work with my clients and one of my key strengths is my ability to actively listen to each client and meeting them where they are at.”
Zach has been a Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years. He has worked in different sectors and has been involved in training other Clinical Psychologists locally and overseas. He is passionate about helping people and believe in the power of psychotherapy and counselling built on a strong therapeutic relationship. He has a special interest in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

“When I went to high school, everyone asked me what I wanted to do after school. I had no idea, except that I wanted to work with people. When I became a psychologist, and started working with families, children and individuals on a regular basis, improving lives and strengthening relationships, I realised that I literally have the best job in the world! Over the past 25 years I have worked with children and families in various different roles and capacities. I never cease to discover something new a person has to offer, be impressed by the capacity and resilience of individuals, and stand in awe of the strength in families. I genuinely desire to journey with families, alongside children, and as part of individual’s’ lives, until they get over the bump in the road and flourish as they head into their future.”
